Obtained for extraction diretta — without solvent — from the bark incisa of Myroxylon balsamum var. pereirae (Royle) Harms (balm of the Perù, myroxylon), tree of the Fabacee native of the America Central, mainly of the Salvador and of the Honduras (the name 'of the Perù' is historic and fuorviant — the plant not proviene from the Perù). The harvested is effettuata for incisione of the bark after bruciatura, in a processo which reminiscent of the extraction of the gommalacca. The phytochemical profile is dominated by cinnamato of benzyl (40-70%) and benzoato of benzyl (15-30%), with vanillina, alcohol benzilic and acid benzoic — a composition rich in esters aromatic. The balm of the Perù is one of the components allergenic standard in the test epicutanei dermatologic (INCI: Myroxylon pereirae), classificato as sensitizing frequent. In aromatherapy it is used as agente healing, antiseptic skin and as fixative profumiero of altissima quality — the its aroma vanigliato-balsamic is a pilastro of the famiglie olfactory oriental. Contraindicated on the people with allergies to the esters benzoic. Base note warm, vanigliata and balsamic.

Balm from the bark wound of the tree
The balm grezzo is extracted for incisione of the bark; the oil for distillation of the balm grezzo
2 drops of Balm of the Peru + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Helichrysum in 20 ml of rosehip oil. Apply to the scars with leggeri movements circular, mattina and evening for at least a month.
