Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the roots dried of Levisticum officinal W.D.J.Koch (levistic, celery of monte, ligustic), perennial herbaceous plant vigorous of the Apiaceae native of the Middle East and widespread naturalizzata in all Central Europe, where grows spontanea to the margini of the boschi umidi and near to the insediament umani — a relitto of the antiche coltivations medicinal monastic.
