Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and from the twigs of Melaleuca cajuputi Powell (cajeput, punk tree, paperbark tea tree), tree of the Myrtaceae native of the Southeast asiatic (Indonesia, Malesia, Philippines, Australia northern), where grows in the areas of transition among forest and savana, in the areas marshy coastal and on the suoli poveri inondati stagionally.
