Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the wood of Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J.Presl var. linaloolifera Fujuta (ho wood, wood of ho), chemotype of the canforo native of the China and of the Japan selezionato for the altissimo content of linalool in the wood. The wood of ho is the fonte natural more rich in linalool undiluted among all the essential oils of wood — with concentrations of the 80-95% — and era in passato the main fonte industrial of linalool (sostituita today from the sintesi chemical and dto the extraction from the wood of rose). The phytochemical profile is therefore almost exclusively composto from linalool, with traces of geraniol, α-terpineol and nerol. The properties of the linalool are among the more studiate in letteratura: sedative and anxiolytic with mechanism GABA-ergico documented, antibacterial (active on MRSA), antifungal, analgesic topical and anticonvulsivant in the modelli animal. In aromatherapy the wood of ho is to alternative sustainable to the wood of rose (Aniba rosaeodora) for all the protocolli which richiedono linalool undiluted: anxiety, insomnia, skin infections. Top-to-heart note floral-woody, clean and gentle.

Recipes & blends
Floral sustainable

4 drops of Wood of Ho + 3 drops of Geranium + 2 drops of Rose in the diffuser. Alternativa sustainable to the Wood of rose (species to risk): note floreal and legnous simili, rispettous of the biodiversita.

Serenità

3 drops of Wood of Ho + 2 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Neroli in the diffuser. The linalool of the Wood of Ho has documented properties ansiolitic. Blend calming for stress and tensions quotidiane.

Contraindications
Generally very ben tollerata. Not confondere with the camphor (stesso tree, chemotype different). Check the origin for the sostenibility.
