Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Tanacetum annuum L. (tanaceto annual, chamomile blue of the Morocco), plant annual of the Asteraceae widespread in the areas aride and roccious of the Morocco northern, where the harvested is effettuata artigianally in the regions of the Atlante and of the pianure coastal. L'oil of tanaceto annual is famoso for the its colore blue intense (deep as the cielo notturno) — determinato dto the high content of chamazulene (10-20%), the sesquiterpene azzurro product during the distillation for trasformation termic of the prochamazuleni. The phytochemical profile include also camfora (10-25%), canfene and β-artabsina, with anti-inflammatory properties, antiallergic and cicatrizzant ben documented. From not confondere with the tanaceto common (Tanacetum vulgare L.), which contains tuioni tossic. In aromatherapy it is used as anti-inflammatory and antiallergic skin, antiistaminic in the reazioni allergic respiratory and skin, antipruriginous and healing. Recommended for eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and allergies stagional. Heart note warm, balsamic and caratteristicaly blue.

Recipes & blends
Serum anti-rossore

2 drops of Tanaceto blue + 2 drops of Chamomile Roman + 2 drops of Lavender in 30 ml of jojoba oil. Apply to skin reattive and irritata.

Allergies stagional

2 drops of Tanaceto blue + 2 drops of Mint peppermint + 2 drops of Eucalyptus radiata in the diffuser in primavera and autunno.

Contraindications
Not confondere with the tanaceto common (Tanacetum vulgare), toxic for the presence of tuione. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use in children under the 6 years. Possible allergy in people sensible to the Asteraceae.
