Thymus vulgaris
Extracted by steam distillation from the sommita flowering of Thymus vulgaris L. (thyme white, thyme sweet) — the termine 'white' indica commercially a oil of thyme which has subito a redistillation or a decoloration which rimuove the pigment rossastri of the ossidation and reduces the concentration of phenols causticant, producendo a oil of colore chiaro-giallino less aggressive cutanealy. In some mercati the 'thyme white' and semplicely the CT linalool of the thyme (vedi thyme-linalool), mentre in other indica qualsiasi oil of T. vulgaris decolorato indipendentely from the chemotype. The phytochemical profile of the thyme white redistillato and generally simile to the thyme common (thymol dominant 30-60%) but with ridution of the carvacrol and of the phenols ossidati, and concentrations marginally inferiori of thymol for effect of the seconda distillation. The tollerabilita skin and slightly migliore compared to the thyme red grezzo. In aromatherapy the properties are equivalent to the thyme common CT thymol: antibacterial, antiviral, immune-stimulating and tonic general. Requires comunque diluition adeguata (max 0.5-1% topical). Contraindicated during pregnancy. Top note warm, phenolic, timolic and less aggressive of the thyme red.

Steam distillation
2 drops Thyme white + 2 drops Niaouli + 1 drop Eucalyptus radiata in 15 ml of almond oil. Massage onto chest and back of the bambino (from the 3 years) 2-three times to day in the bronchitis and rinosinusitis.
2 drops Thyme white + 2 drops Tea tree + 2 drops Lavender in 20 ml of coconut oil. Apply among the dita and on the plant of the piede mattina and evening in case of tinea pedis.
2 drops Thyme white + 2 drops Ravintsara + 2 drops Lemon in the diffuser. Blend preventive from use in the season fredda for sostenere the immune system.
3 drops Thyme white + 2 drops Scots Pine + 2 drops Benzoino in 20 ml of almond oil. Massage onto chest and back three times to day in the bronchitis with phlegm.
3 drops Thyme white + 3 drops Lemon + 2 drops Tea tree in the diffuser. Purifies the air of the rooms domestic with antiseptic action and deodorant.
